SLC Community Choirs Music Scholarship
The Southern Lancaster County Community Choirs is pleased to announce a new scholarship to graduating seniors pursuing a degree in music. We are a non-profit organization working to expand the music performance opportunities within our community, and as such we greatly value the importance of music education. This scholarship has been established to honor the musicians who have influenced our lives so much, and to encourage the musicians who will impact future generations. Any graduating senior who has participated in a musical group based in the geographical boundaries of the Solanco School District within the 24 months prior to graduation (they need not attend school in the district), and is pursuing a college degree in music, is eligible to apply.
Recognizing the many unique expenses involved in pursuing a career in music, we have created a four year, two thousand dollar scholarship. The recipient will receive five hundred dollars per year for a maximum of four years to meet any need, including tuition, lessons, music, instruments, equipment, and formal concert attire.
